July 26, 2019: Munchkin Musings: July 2019

Andrew, dressed for summertimeGreetings from hot, subtropical Austin! (Sweltering: +5 to Monster.) We're gearing up for Gen Con at the moment, starting our marketing push for the November release of Munchkin Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and beginning the design and development work on more of our 2020 releases, which makes for a bit of a lull in big announcements here.

I'll be at Gen Con the whole time, running special game events at noon every day of the show, doing a couple of signings, and otherwise hanging around helping to show off cool new stuff like Deadly Doodles as well as showing people Munchkin Warhammer 40,000 every chance I get. Sad to report, we decided not to host the Munchkin Tavern this year; we're running a full retail booth and it would have stretched our talented staff too thin to also try to man after-hours events. We'll miss seeing everyone over there in the evenings!

We have some cool things coming in the next few months that I can't quiiiiite talk about yet, including a new expansion and Kill-O-Meter for one of our favorite Munchkin games coming to Kickstarter soon, an announcement from USAopoly that may be live by the time you read this (late update: it's Munchkin: Disney DuckTales!), and some other new things we're working on. We may talk about some of them at Gen Con . . . and we'll certainly announce them here when the time is right. Until then, however, enjoy this shorter Musings post and we'll see you next month!
